The Goornawoom classroom is a fun, vibrant, engaging and interactive space for children in years K/PP/1. Miss Amanda, Miss Sophia and Miss Roberta have implemented an inquiry/play based program enriching the learning of our youngest students. An inquiry based approach engages students in hands-on activities that inspire and motivate children to be creative, reflective and inquisitve thinkers. Miss Amanda has many years experience teaching Ealry Childhood in Tasmania and relocated to Frog Hollow in 2015. Miss Sophia and Miss Roberta are Gija language and culture teachers at Purnululu School and Goornawoom Teaching Assistants. Sophia has over 20 years experience teaching language and culture and working alongside teachers to plan, deliver and assess student learning. Roberta brings the IT skills to our early years team!

Purnululu School are dedicated to giving children the best start to their education. We support a community early learning facility for pre-school aged children. The early learning centre opens every day from 8:00 until 2:30pm. All pre-school aged children are welcome to join us with a parent at no cost. All students and ELC children enjoy a hot, healthy lunch and fruit snacks provided by the school.
